The Restless Gun toy cap gun was produced by Actoy and distributed by Esquire Novelty circa 1958–1960, during the original run of the popular NBC television Western The Restless Gun.
This unusual toy was designed to convert from a cap pistol into different configurations, including the impressive long-barreled rifle configuration shown in our photographs. The Stock is hard plastic and attaches as it should with a twist wheel to open and close the small metal clamps. NO Chips or cracks! Matching horse-head design as gun, and all intact with the little door on end that opens and closes to store extra caps. The pistol fires as it should an has tiny edge chips on the one grip. It takes roll caps.
Complete overall Measurement is 29". Previous owner put some plumbers tape on extension piece to keep it tight.
